Ingredients:

  • 1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling (595g)
  • 1 (15.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix (432g)
  • ¾ cup (170g) salted butter, melted
  • ½ cup (85g) caramel bits or chopped caramel candies
  • ¼ cup (25g) chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. Pour the apple pie filling into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the apple pie filling.
  4. Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  5. Sprinkle caramel bits and chopped nuts (if using) over the top.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
