Ingredients:
- 1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling (595g)
- 1 (15.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix (432g)
- ¾ cup (170g) salted butter, melted
- ½ cup (85g) caramel bits or chopped caramel candies
- ¼ cup (25g) chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Pour the apple pie filling into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the apple pie filling.
- Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
- Sprinkle caramel bits and chopped nuts (if using) over the top.
- Bake for 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
