Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs (680g) ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
- 1 tbsp (15ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp (5ml) garlic powder
- 1 tsp (5ml) onion powder
- 1/2 tsp (2.5ml) smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp (2.5ml) salt
- 1/4 tsp (1.25ml) black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns, your favourite type
- Optional toppings: Lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, burger sauce (like Big Mac sauce)
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, gently combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Be careful not to overmix.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions. Gently form each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch (2 cm) thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up during cooking – it’s like a little chef’s trick!
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes. This helps ensure even cooking.
- Place the burger patties in the air fryer basket, making sure they aren't overcrowded. If necessary, cook in batches. Optionally place patties on parchment paper in air fryer basket to ease cleaning.
- Cook for 6-7 minutes, then flip the burgers and cook for another 6-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for medium doneness. Adjust cooking time according to your desired doneness (165°F (74°C) for well-done).
- While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast your hamburger buns.
- Place the cooked burger patties on the toasted buns and add your favorite toppings. Serve immediately. See how easy it is to make burgers in air fryer!
