Ingredients:

  • 1 all-beef hot dog (approx. 57g)
  • 1 hot dog bun
  • Optional Toppings: Mustard, ketchup, relish, chopped onions, sauerkraut, cheese sauce, etc.

Instructions:

  1. Lightly score the hot dog diagonally on both sides with a knife. This prevents bursting and helps create crispy edges.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) if your model requires it.
  3. Place the hot dog in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 6-8 minutes, or until the skin is nicely browned and slightly blistered.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, place the hot dog bun in the air fryer basket alongside the hot dog. Watch closely to prevent burning. (Or toast it lightly in a toaster or grill).
  5. Carefully remove the hot dog and bun from the air fryer. Place the hot dog in the bun and top with your favorite condiments.
