Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp fine sea salt
  • 0.5 tsp cracked black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Wash the 1.5 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes thoroughly under cold water. Use a mandoline to slice them into 1/8 inch (0.125 inch) rounds.
  2. Submerge the slices in a bowl of ice-cold water for 10 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. Drain the potatoes and pat them completely dry with a lint-free tea towel or paper towels.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil with 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, 0.5 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp fine sea salt, and 0.5 tsp cracked black pepper.
  5. Add the potatoes to the bowl and use your hands to coat every single slice.
  6. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  7. Arrange the slices in the air fryer basket. It is okay if they overlap slightly, but avoid stacking them deep.
  8. Air fry for 18-20 minutes, performing a vigorous basket shake at the 10-minute mark to ensure even browning.
