Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (45g) old-fashioned rolled oats
- 2/3 cup (160ml) unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tbsp (12g) chia seeds
- 1/4 tsp (1g) fine sea salt
- 1 tsp (5ml) pure vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp (15ml) pure maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp (1g) ground cinnamon
Instructions:
- Grab a glass mason jar. Combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, salt, and ground cinnamon. Note: Mixing dry ingredients first ensures the cinnamon doesn't clump.
- Pour in the unsweetened almond milk, vanilla extract, and maple syrup.
- Stir vigorously with a spoon. Stir until no dry clumps of chia seeds remain and the cinnamon is evenly distributed throughout the liquid.
- Seal the lid tightly. Shake the jar one final time to make sure every oat flake is submerged.
- Place the jar in the refrigerator. Let it chill for at least 6 hours, though overnight is best.
- Remove the jar from the fridge in the morning.
- Stir the oats once more before serving. Wait until you see a thick, pudding like consistency.
- Adjust the thickness. If it feels too thick, stir in an extra tablespoon of almond milk until it reaches your preferred creaminess.
