Ingredients:

  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced (about 2 cups / 300g)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (15ml)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (2g)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (15ml) (optional, for babies over 1 year)
  • 1 cup rolled oats (90g)
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour (60g)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened (60g)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (25g)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and dice the apples into small pieces. Toss them with lemon juice, cinnamon, and honey/maple syrup (if using).
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Add softened butter and mix with hands or a fork until crumbly.
  4. Spread the apple mixture evenly in the baking dish. Top with the crumble mixture.
  5. Bake for about 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  6. Allow to cool
