Ingredients:

  • 6 cups tart apples, cored and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Mix until apples are well coated.
  3. Transfer the apple mixture to the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt.
  5. Mix until the topping is crumbly and well combined.
  6. Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the apple filling.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
