- 6 cups tart apples, cored and sliced

Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Mix until apples are well coated.
- Transfer the apple mixture to the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt.
- Mix until the topping is crumbly and well combined.
- Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the apple filling.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
