Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp Thai tea mix
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp evaporated milk
  • 1.5 cups ice

Instructions:

  1. Bring 1 cup of filtered water to a rolling boil in a small saucepan or kettle.
  2. Add 4 tbsp of Thai tea mix to the boiling water and immediately remove from heat. Stir to submerge leaves and steep for exactly 5 minutes.
  3. Strain the tea through a fine-mesh strainer or Thai tea sock into a heat-proof jar. While steaming, stir in 2 tbsp granulated sugar and 2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk until completely dissolved.
  4. Fill a tall serving glass to the brim with 1.5 cups of ice. Pour the hot tea concentrate over the ice to flash-chill.
  5. Slowly pour 2 tbsp of evaporated milk over the back of a spoon onto the surface of the tea to create the signature marble effect.
