Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup (130 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (90 g) unsweetened dark cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon (2 g) salt
- 1/2 teaspoon (2 g) baking powder
- 1 cup (175 g) dark chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line the baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently stir in dark chocolate chips (if using) until evenly distributed.
- Spread the batter evenly into the lined baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool in the pan on a wire rack before slicing into squares.
