Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (40g) rolled oats (not instant)
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 cup (150g) plain yogurt (Greek or regular, dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (or other sweetener to taste)
  • 1/2 cup (75g) mixed berries (fresh or frozen; blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans)
  • Optional: Pinch of cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. In your jar or container, combine the rolled oats, milk, yogurt, chia seeds, and sweetener (honey/maple syrup).
  2. Stir everything thoroughly to ensure the oats and chia seeds are well dispersed.
  3. Gently fold in the mixed berries. Reserve a few for topping if desired.
  4. Cover the jar tightly with the lid and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
  5. In the morning, give the oats a good stir. If the mixture seems too thick, add a splash more milk. Top with any reserved berries and chopped nuts (if using). Eat and feel like a superhero!
