Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (40g) rolled oats (not instant)
- 1 cup (240ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1/2 cup (150g) plain yogurt (Greek or regular, dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (or other sweetener to taste)
- 1/2 cup (75g) mixed berries (fresh or frozen; blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries)
- Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans)
- Optional: Pinch of cinnamon
Instructions:
- In your jar or container, combine the rolled oats, milk, yogurt, chia seeds, and sweetener (honey/maple syrup).
- Stir everything thoroughly to ensure the oats and chia seeds are well dispersed.
- Gently fold in the mixed berries. Reserve a few for topping if desired.
- Cover the jar tightly with the lid and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
- In the morning, give the oats a good stir. If the mixture seems too thick, add a splash more milk. Top with any reserved berries and chopped nuts (if using). Eat and feel like a superhero!
