Ingredients:

  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream or 5% Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill, finely minced
  • 1 tbsp dried dill weed
  • 2 tbsp fresh chives, minced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Place the softened cream cheese in a large mixing bowl and whip using a hand mixer or stiff spatula until smooth and aerated to create a hydrophobic barrier.
  2. Gently fold in the sour cream (or Greek yogurt) until the base is perfectly combined and free of lumps.
  3. Add the fresh dill, dried dill weed, minced chives, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice, sea salt, and black pepper. Stir thoroughly to distribute the aromatics.
  4. Transfer the mixture to an airtight glass container.
  5. Refrigerate for a mandatory 2-hour chilling phase to allow the fat-soluble flavor compounds to bloom and the texture to set.
