Ingredients:
- 8 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream or 5% Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup fresh dill, finely minced
- 1 tbsp dried dill weed
- 2 tbsp fresh chives, minced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
- 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Place the softened cream cheese in a large mixing bowl and whip using a hand mixer or stiff spatula until smooth and aerated to create a hydrophobic barrier.
- Gently fold in the sour cream (or Greek yogurt) until the base is perfectly combined and free of lumps.
- Add the fresh dill, dried dill weed, minced chives, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice, sea salt, and black pepper. Stir thoroughly to distribute the aromatics.
- Transfer the mixture to an airtight glass container.
- Refrigerate for a mandatory 2-hour chilling phase to allow the fat-soluble flavor compounds to bloom and the texture to set.
