Ingredients:
- Bisquick Baking Mix: 1 ½ cups (180g)
- Milk: ½ cup (120ml) (Dairy or non-dairy)
- Dried Herbs: 1 teaspoon (e.g., Italian seasoning, poultry seasoning)
- Salt: Pinch (optional, Bisquick can be salty)
- Black Pepper: Pinch
- Prepared Soup/Stew: Approximately 6 cups (1.4L)
Instructions:
- Ensure your soup or stew is simmering gently in a large pot or Dutch oven.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick, milk, herbs, salt (optional), and pepper. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are fine.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough into the simmering soup/stew. Aim for even spacing. About 1 tablespoon per dumpling is a good guideline.
- Cover the pot tightly and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the dumplings are cooked through. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean.
- Gently stir the soup/stew and dumplings. Ladle into bowls and serve immediately.
