Ingredients:
- 1 large grapefruit, halved
- 2 tablespoons honey (30ml)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (5ml)
- Optional: A pinch of ground nutmeg or ginger (optional)
Instructions:
- Halve the grapefruit and loosen the segments by cutting around the edges and along the membranes with a paring knife. Try to create pockets to collect the glaze.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey and cinnamon (and any optional spices).
- Brush or spoon the honey-cinnamon mixture evenly over the cut surface of each grapefruit half.
- Place the grapefruit halves on a baking sheet, cut-side up. Broil for 5-7 minutes, or until the tops are bubbly and lightly caramelized. Watch carefully to prevent burning!
- Let the grapefruit cool slightly before serving.
