Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 ½ cups (300g) packed light brown sugar
- ½ cup (100g) granulated white sugar
- 2 large (100g) room temperature eggs
- 2 tsp (10ml) pure vanilla extract
- 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp (5g) baking soda
- ½ tsp (3g) sea salt
- 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, beat softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar on medium-high for 2–3 minutes until pale and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Turn mixer to low and gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing only until white streaks disappear.
- Fold in the chocolate chips by hand using a spatula.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough (about 2 tbsp per cookie) onto lined baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are golden brown but centers remain soft.
- Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
