Ingredients:
- 3 ripe avocados (about 450g total)
- 1 medium lime, juiced (about 30ml)
- 1 small red onion, finely diced (about 80g)
- 1 medium ripe tomato, diced (about 150g)
- 1 small jalapeño, finely chopped (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped (about 30g)
- Salt, to taste (approximately ½ teaspoon, or more if needed)
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste (optional)
Instructions:
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
- Dice the red onion and tomato, chop the jalapeño (if using), and cilantro.
- Using a fork or potato masher, mash the avocados until creamy but still chunky.
- Add the lime juice, diced onion, tomato, jalapeño, cilantro, salt, and pepper to the bowl with the mashed avocado.
- Stir the mixture gently to combine all the ingredients.
- Taste the guacamole and add more salt, jalapeño, or lime juice as needed.
- Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl, garnishing with additional cilantro if desired.
