Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons (30g) all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons (25g) granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons (15g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 3 tablespoons (45ml) milk
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) vegetable oil
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons (30g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- In a large microwave-safe mug, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- Add milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the mug. Stir well with a fork until a smooth batter forms. Scrape down the sides of the mug.
- Gently press the chocolate chips into the center of the batter. Make sure they're nestled down a bit but not touching the bottom of the mug.
- Microwave on high for 1 minute 15 seconds. Check for doneness. Microwave in 15-second increments until desired consistency is reached, but be careful not to overcook.
- Let the mug cake cool for a minute or two before digging in.
