Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (45g) old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup (240ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 pinch (1g) fine sea salt
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp (5g) unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp (10g) toasted pecans

Instructions:

  1. Heat the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the rolled oats and stir constantly for about 1 minute until they smell nutty and look slightly golden.
  2. Pour in the almond milk and add the salt. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally, and cook for 4–6 minutes until the liquid is mostly absorbed and the texture is velvety.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
  4. Transfer to a bowl and top with toasted pecans.
