Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (5 oz/140 g each) tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup (35 g) celery, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup (35 g) red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup (35 g) sweet pickles or relish
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons (2 g) fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Open and drain the tuna cans; flake the tuna into a mixing bowl.
  2. Finely dice the celery and chop the red onion and pickles.
  3. In the same bowl, add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Stir until well combined.
  4. Add the diced celery, chopped onion, and pickles to the bowl with the dressing and tuna. Gently mix until all ingredients are coated evenly.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, fold in fresh parsley for added flavor.
  6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled on a bed of lettuce, in a sandwich, or with crackers.
