  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until just combined.

  4. Remove patties from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until golden brown.
  6. Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and stir to coat; cook for an additional minute.
  7. Gradually whisk in beef broth and soy sauce, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
  8. Add thyme and season with salt and pepper, letting it simmer until thickened.
  9. Return patties to the skillet, spoon gravy over them, and let warm together for 2 minutes.
  10. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
