Ingredients:
- 4 medium apples, such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp, cored and diced (approx. 600g / 21 oz)
- 2 cups red grapes, halved (approx. 300g / 10.5 oz)
- 1 cup celery, diced (approx. 100g / 3.5 oz)
- 1 cup walnuts, toasted and coarsely chopped (approx. 100g / 3.5 oz)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (approx. 10g / 0.35 oz) (Optional)
- 1 cup mayonnaise (approx. 240 ml / 8 fl oz)
- 1/4 cup sour cream (approx. 60 ml / 2 fl oz)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed (approx. 30 ml / 1 fl oz)
- 1 tablespoon sugar (approx. 12g / 0.42 oz)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (approx. 3g / 0.1 oz)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (approx. 0.5g / 0.02 oz)
Instructions:
- Toast walnuts in a dry skillet or toaster oven until fragrant. Let cool slightly, then coarsely chop.
- Dice the apples and celery, halve the grapes, and chop the parsley (if using).
- In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, sugar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the apples, grapes, celery, walnuts, and parsley (if using).
- Pour the dressing over the salad and gently toss to coat evenly.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld (optional).
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
