Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 ml) Heavy Cream, cold (at least 36% milk fat)
- 2 tablespoons (25 g) Granulated Sugar OR Powdered Sugar (icing sugar), sifted if using powdered
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Pure Vanilla Extract
Instructions:
- Place the mixing bowl and whisk attachment in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
- Pour the cold heavy cream into the chilled mixing bowl. Add the sugar and vanilla extract.
- Begin whipping on low speed for about 1 minute to combine the ingredients.
- Gradually increase the mixer speed to medium-high.
- Continue whipping until soft peaks form.
- Continue whipping until stiff peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip!
- Stop the mixer frequently to check the consistency.
- If desired, gently fold in any additional flavorings or decorations with the rubber spatula.
