Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) Heavy Cream, cold (at least 36% milk fat)
  • 2 tablespoons (25 g) Granulated Sugar OR Powdered Sugar (icing sugar), sifted if using powdered
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Pure Vanilla Extract

Instructions:

  1. Place the mixing bowl and whisk attachment in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Pour the cold heavy cream into the chilled mixing bowl. Add the sugar and vanilla extract.
  3. Begin whipping on low speed for about 1 minute to combine the ingredients.
  4. Gradually increase the mixer speed to medium-high.
  5. Continue whipping until soft peaks form.
  6. Continue whipping until stiff peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip!
  7. Stop the mixer frequently to check the consistency.
  8. If desired, gently fold in any additional flavorings or decorations with the rubber spatula.
