Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- ½ cup whole milk
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine diced apples, lemon juice, ground cinnamon, and brown sugar. Set aside to let macerate.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, and eggs until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour half of the dough into the prepared loaf pan, spreading evenly.
- Add the apple filling on top and then layer the remaining dough over the apple mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread.
