  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 2-3 fresh rosemary sprigs
  • 2 oz (60ml) Tequila Blanco

  • 1 oz (30ml) Fresh Lime Juice
  • 2 oz (60ml) Cranberry Juice Cocktail
  • 1/2 oz (15ml) Rosemary Simple Syrup
  • 1/2 cup (100ml) water
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 2 fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Lime wedge
  • Coarse salt (optional, for rimming the glass)
  • Sugared rosemary sprig

Instructions:

  1. Simmer water and sugar in a small saucepan until sugar dissolves, creating a simple syrup.
  2. Dip rosemary sprigs in simple syrup, then roll in granulated sugar on a plate.
  3. Let dry on a wire rack while you make the christmas margarita recipe.
  4. Combine water, sugar, and rosemary sprigs in a saucepan.
  5. Simmer until sugar dissolves and mixture slightly thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and let steep for 30 minutes to infuse the rosemary flavor.
  7. Strain syrup and discard rosemary sprigs. Cool completely.
  8. If desired, salt the rim of a margarita glass by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it in coarse salt.
  9. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, cranberry juice, and rosemary simple syrup.
  10. Shake well until the shaker is well-chilled, about 15-20 seconds.
  11. Strain the margarita into the prepared glass filled with ice.
  12. Garnish with a lime wedge and a sugared rosemary sprig.
