Ingredients:

- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 2-3 fresh rosemary sprigs
- 2 oz (60ml) Tequila Blanco
- 1 oz (30ml) Orange Liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
- 1 oz (30ml) Fresh Lime Juice
- 2 oz (60ml) Cranberry Juice Cocktail
- 1/2 oz (15ml) Rosemary Simple Syrup
- 1/2 cup (100ml) water
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 2 fresh rosemary sprigs
- Lime wedge
- Coarse salt (optional, for rimming the glass)
- Sugared rosemary sprig
Instructions:
- Simmer water and sugar in a small saucepan until sugar dissolves, creating a simple syrup.
- Dip rosemary sprigs in simple syrup, then roll in granulated sugar on a plate.
- Let dry on a wire rack while you make the christmas margarita recipe.
- Combine water, sugar, and rosemary sprigs in a saucepan.
- Simmer until sugar dissolves and mixture slightly thickens.
- Remove from heat and let steep for 30 minutes to infuse the rosemary flavor.
- Strain syrup and discard rosemary sprigs. Cool completely.
- If desired, salt the rim of a margarita glass by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it in coarse salt.
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, cranberry juice, and rosemary simple syrup.
- Shake well until the shaker is well-chilled, about 15-20 seconds.
- Strain the margarita into the prepared glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with a lime wedge and a sugared rosemary sprig.
