Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (approximately 2 lbs or 900 g)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Place chicken thighs in a large resealable bag or bowl. Pour marinade over chicken, ensuring even coverage. Seal bag or cover bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Set the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) and preheat for about 5 minutes.
  4. Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess drip off. Arrange chicken thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Cook for 25 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and skin is crispy.
  6. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
