Ingredients:

  • 14 oz extra firm tofu
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Wrap the tofu block in paper towels or a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top for 10–15 minutes to press out moisture.
  2. Dice the pressed tofu into uniform 1-inch cubes.
  3. Toss the tofu cubes in a bowl with salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  4. Sprinkle cornstarch over the tofu and toss gently until every cube is thinly coated with a matte finish.
  5. Choose a cooking method: Air Fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes shaking halfway; Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes flipping once; or Pan-Fry in oil over medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes per side until deep gold.
