Ingredients:
- 14 oz extra firm tofu
- 2 tbsp neutral oil
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
- Wrap the tofu block in paper towels or a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top for 10–15 minutes to press out moisture.
- Dice the pressed tofu into uniform 1-inch cubes.
- Toss the tofu cubes in a bowl with salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Sprinkle cornstarch over the tofu and toss gently until every cube is thinly coated with a matte finish.
- Choose a cooking method: Air Fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes shaking halfway; Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes flipping once; or Pan-Fry in oil over medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes per side until deep gold.
