Ingredients:
- 2.5 lbs (1.13 kg) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 (1 ounce/28g) packet dry Ranch Dressing Mix
- 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp (1.25 ml) black pepper
- 8 ounces (227g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) chicken broth (low sodium preferred)
- 1 cup (113g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Instructions:
- Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, and pepper evenly over the chicken.
- Place softened cream cheese on top of the chicken. Pour chicken broth around the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, or until chicken is easily shredded with a fork.
- Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred with two forks or shredding claws.
- Place shredded chicken back into the slow cooker.
- Stir in cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
- Cover and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.
