Ingredients:
- 2 oz Premium Vodka (Chilled)
- 1/4 oz Dry Vermouth (Chilled)
- 1/2 oz Cream of Coconut (or Vanilla Syrup)
- 1/2 tsp Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 Tbsp Powdered Sugar (sifted, for rim)
- 1 Lime Wedge (for moistening rim)
- Optional Garnish: Flaked toasted coconut or a lemon twist
Instructions:
- Chill the serving coupe or Martini glass in the freezer for at least 15 minutes, or fill it with ice water while preparing the drink.
- Prepare the Rim: On a small, shallow plate, spread the sifted powdered sugar thinly. Lightly run the lime wedge around the outer edge of half the glass rim. Gently dip the moistened edge into the sugar, rotating slowly to adhere. Set aside.
- Combine Ingredients: Fill the cocktail shaker 2/3 full with good quality ice cubes. Measure and add the chilled Vodka, Dry Vermouth, Cream of Coconut (or Vanilla Syrup), and fresh Lime Juice to the shaker.
- Shake Well: Secure the lid tightly. Shake vigorously for about 15–20 seconds until the shaker is thoroughly frosted on the outside.
- Strain and Serve: Empty the ice water from the chilled glass. Double strain the mixture into the prepared, sugared glass to ensure a smooth texture.
- Garnish: Add your garnish of choice (flaked coconut or a delicate lemon twist). Serve immediately.
