Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons (57g) unsalted butter, cut into cubes
  • 10 ounces (283g) marshmallows, mini or large
  • 6 cups (142g) Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/4 teaspoon pink food coloring (gel or liquid)
  • 1/4 cup (28g) Valentine's Day sprinkles
  • 4 ounces (113g) white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil (for thinning chocolate)

Instructions:

  1. Grease the 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the pink food coloring until evenly distributed. Add the Rice Krispies cereal and stir until well coated.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and gently press it evenly using the rubber spatula. Sprinkle with Valentine's Day sprinkles.
  5. Let the mixture set in the pan for at least 30 minutes. Once set, use heart-shaped cookie cutters to cut out shapes.
  6. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips with the vegetable oil in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth and melted.
  7. Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the cut-out hearts. Let the chocolate set completely before serving.
