Ingredients:
- 2 cups (180g) Old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 tsp (5g) Baking powder
- 1 tsp (2g) Ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp (3g) Salt
- 1 ½ cups (360ml) Milk of choice
- 1 large (50g) Egg, beaten
- ⅓ cup (80ml) Pure maple syrup
- ¼ cup (55g) Unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp (5ml) Vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt until no clumps remain.
- Add the beaten egg, milk, maple syrup, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the bowl.
- Stir vigorously until the mixture is cohesive and the melted butter is fully incorporated.
- Fold the wet and dry ingredients together until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased 8x8 inch baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 35–45 minutes until the edges are golden-brown and the center feels set but slightly springy to the touch.
