Ingredients:
- 28 oz beef or turkey cocktail sausages (lil smokies)
- 18 oz Sweet BBQ Sauce
- 14 oz Concord Grape Jelly
- 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
Instructions:
- Remove the lil smokies from their packaging and drain any excess liquid to prevent the sauce from thinning.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, grape jelly, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper until the jelly is broken down into small beads.
- Place the sausages into the slow cooker basin and pour the sauce mixture over them, stirring until evenly coated.
- Cover and cook on High for 2 hours (or Low for 4 hours) until the sauce is bubbly and the sausages are heated through.
- Switch the slow cooker to the 'Warm' setting to allow the glaze to thicken further before serving.
- Give the sausages a final toss to redistribute the glaze and serve with toothpicks.
