Ingredients:

  • 28 oz beef or turkey cocktail sausages (lil smokies)
  • 18 oz Sweet BBQ Sauce
  • 14 oz Concord Grape Jelly
  • 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Remove the lil smokies from their packaging and drain any excess liquid to prevent the sauce from thinning.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, grape jelly, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper until the jelly is broken down into small beads.
  3. Place the sausages into the slow cooker basin and pour the sauce mixture over them, stirring until evenly coated.
  4. Cover and cook on High for 2 hours (or Low for 4 hours) until the sauce is bubbly and the sausages are heated through.
  5. Switch the slow cooker to the 'Warm' setting to allow the glaze to thicken further before serving.
  6. Give the sausages a final toss to redistribute the glaze and serve with toothpicks.
