- 1 ½ fl oz Coconut Liqueur (Malibu)
- 2 fl oz Pineapple Juice, chilled
- 2 fl oz Cranberry Juice Cocktail, chilled
- Ice, for serving
- 1 lime wedge or cocktail cherry, for garnish
Instructions:
- Chill the Glass: If time allows, place your serving glass (Highball or Hurricane) in the freezer for a few minutes to ensure maximum chill.
- Load the Ice: Fill your chilled glass completely with fresh ice cubes.
- Pour the Foundation: Measure and pour the Coconut Liqueur (Rum) directly over the ice.
- Add the Pineapple: Carefully measure and pour the Pineapple Juice over the rum and ice.
- Create the Sunset Layer: Gently measure and top the drink with the Cranberry Juice Cocktail. The slightly denser cranberry juice should slowly sink through the pineapple, creating the beautiful layered effect essential for a Malibu Bay Breeze.
- Garnish and Serve: If you prefer a fully homogeneous, pink drink, give it one quick, gentle stir with a bar spoon. Otherwise, simply place your chosen garnish (a lime wedge skewered on the rim is traditional) and serve immediately.
