Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs (680g) ground beef (80/20 blend for best flavor)
  • 1 cup (100g) breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk
  • 1/2 cup (75g) onion, finely chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/3 cup (80ml) ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, eggs, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and parsley.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and vinegar until well combined.
  5. Generously spread the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
