Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ ounces (45 ml) high-quality Vodka, chilled
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) Baileys Irish Cream, chilled
  • ½ ounce (15 ml) Coffee Liqueur (e.g., Kahlúa)
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) Fresh Espresso or Strong Coffee, cooled
  • Large handful of Ice Cubes
  • 3 whole Coffee Beans (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Place your serving coupe or martini glass in the freezer, or fill it completely with ice water while you prepare the drink.
  2. Add the chilled Vodka, Baileys Irish Cream, Coffee Liqueur (if using), and cooled Espresso/Coffee into the cocktail shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker two-thirds full with fresh, solid ice cubes.
  4. Secure the lid tightly and shake hard for about 15–20 seconds to ensure thorough chilling and aeration.
  5. Discard the ice or water from your chilled glass.
  6. Double strain the mixture from the shaker through the built-in strainer and ideally a fine-mesh strainer into the prepared glass.
  7. Garnish by floating three whole coffee beans gently on top of the cocktail foam. Serve immediately.
