Ingredients:

  • 1 baguette, sliced into ½-inch rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 ounces goat cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ¼ teaspoon lemon zest
  • ¼ cup balsamic glaze
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush baguette slices with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and arrange on a baking sheet. Toast until golden brown and crisp.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened goat cheese, heavy cream, honey, and lemon zest. Whip until light and fluffy.
  3. Transfer the whipped goat cheese to a piping bag. Pipe a generous swirl of goat cheese onto each crostini. Alternatively, spread with a knife.
  4. Drizzle each crostini with balsamic glaze and sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves. Serve immediately.
