Ingredients:
- 1 baguette, sliced into ½-inch rounds
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Pinch of sea salt
- Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
- 4 ounces goat cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon honey
- ¼ teaspoon lemon zest
- ¼ cup balsamic glaze
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves, chopped
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush baguette slices with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and arrange on a baking sheet. Toast until golden brown and crisp.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened goat cheese, heavy cream, honey, and lemon zest. Whip until light and fluffy.
- Transfer the whipped goat cheese to a piping bag. Pipe a generous swirl of goat cheese onto each crostini. Alternatively, spread with a knife.
- Drizzle each crostini with balsamic glaze and sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves. Serve immediately.
