Ingredients:
- 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, vanilla, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch. Toss gently until peaches are well coated. Pour into the greased baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add melted butter and milk, then add vanilla. Mix until just combined.
- Spoon the batter evenly over the peach filling in the baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the topping comes out clean.
- Cool slightly before serving.
