Ingredients:

  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, vanilla, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cornstarch. Toss gently until peaches are well coated. Pour into the greased baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add melted butter and milk, then add vanilla. Mix until just combined.
  4. Spoon the batter evenly over the peach filling in the baking dish.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the topping comes out clean.
  6. Cool slightly before serving.
