Ingredients:

  • 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt. Toss until peaches are well coated, then pour into the baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla, stirring until smooth.
  4. Pour the topping mixture evenly over the peach filling. Do not stir.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
