Ingredients:
- 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt. Toss until peaches are well coated, then pour into the baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the topping mixture evenly over the peach filling. Do not stir.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
