Ingredients:
- Long-grain white rice
- Cold filtered water
- Sea salt
- Extra virgin olive oil
Instructions:
- Place the long-grain white rice in a fine-mesh strainer and rinse under cold running water for 60–90 seconds. Agitate the grains with your fingers until the water runs completely clear to remove excess surface starch.
- Transfer the rinsed rice into the Instant Pot stainless steel inner pot. Add the cold filtered water, sea salt, and extra virgin olive oil.
- Stir the mixture once to ensure all grains are submerged and none are sticking to the sides of the pot above the water line.
- Secure the Instant Pot lid and set the steam release valve to the 'Sealing' position.
- Select 'Manual' or 'Pressure Cook' on High Pressure and set the timer for 5 minutes (for standard long-grain white rice).
- Once the cooking cycle is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes before performing a quick release for any remaining steam. Fluff the rice with a silicone spatula or rice paddle and serve.
