Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp gochujang
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 stalks green onion greens, sliced

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, gochujang, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is a smooth paste.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it into small crumbles, until the beef is no longer pink and has developed a deep brown crust. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, and the white parts of the green onions. Sauté for 60 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour the gochujang glaze over the beef. Toss constantly for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens into a glossy coating.
