Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (160g) fresh mango, peeled and cubed
  • 3 (15g) habanero peppers, stems removed and minced
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup (115g) honey
  • 1 tsp (5ml) soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Combine the cubed mango, minced habaneros, apple cider vinegar, honey, lime juice, and all seasonings in a blender. Pulse until the mixture is completely smooth.
  2. Pour the blended mixture into a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally for 8–10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat. For a smoother restaurant-style glaze, press the sauce through a fine-mesh strainer to remove pepper skins or seeds.
  4. Allow the sauce to cool for 5 minutes before serving; it will continue to thicken as it rests.
