Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (45g) old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup (240ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 pinch (1g) sea salt
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp (4g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 tsp (1g) ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp (1ml) pure vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Place the rolled oats in a dry saucepan over medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly until nutty and slightly golden.
  2. Pour in the almond milk and add the sea salt. Increase heat to medium-high until it reaches a gentle simmer, then reduce heat to low.
  3. Stir occasionally for 5 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed and the oats have reached a creamy, thick consistency.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the maple syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until the sugar is melted and the oats are glazed.
