Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (45g) old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup (240ml) unsweetened almond milk
- 1 pinch (1g) sea salt
- 1 tbsp (15ml) pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp (4g) light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 tsp (1g) ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp (1ml) pure vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Place the rolled oats in a dry saucepan over medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly until nutty and slightly golden.
- Pour in the almond milk and add the sea salt. Increase heat to medium-high until it reaches a gentle simmer, then reduce heat to low.
- Stir occasionally for 5 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed and the oats have reached a creamy, thick consistency.
- Remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the maple syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until the sugar is melted and the oats are glazed.
