Ingredients:

  • 1 ear of fresh corn on the cob, husk intact

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the ear of corn under cool water. Do not remove the husk or silk.
  2. Place the wet corn ear on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave on high for 3-6 minutes, adjusting time based on your microwave's wattage. Start with 3 minutes and add 1-minute increments as needed.
  3. Carefully remove the corn from the microwave (it will be HOT!). Use oven mitts.
  4. Let the corn cool slightly (about a minute). Use a knife to cut off the bottom end of the corn (about 1 inch). Squeeze the top of the corn to slide the corn out, husks and silk together.
  5. Enjoy the perfectly cooked corn. Season with butter, salt, pepper, or your favorite toppings.
