Ingredients:
- 1 ear of corn, husk on
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened (optional)
- Salt, to taste (optional)
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste (optional)
Instructions:
- Trim the stalk end of the corn if desired.
- Place the corn on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave on high for 3-5 minutes, adjusting for your microwave's wattage.
- Carefully remove the plate and check if the corn is cooked by piercing it with a fork. The kernels should be tender. If not, microwave in 30-second intervals until done.
- Let the corn cool slightly (use oven mitts!). Carefully remove the husk and silk.
- Spread with butter (if using), sprinkle with salt and pepper, and serve immediately.
