Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons fish sauce (45 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (30 ml), freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon water (15 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (12 g), granulated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red chili, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (5 ml)

Instructions:

  1. Mince the garlic and chop the chili, cilantro, and mint.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together fish sauce, lime juice, water, and sugar until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, chopped chili, cilantro, mint, and sesame oil.
  4. Ensure all ingredients are well combined and adjust seasoning if desired.
  5. Taste the sauce and make adjustments to sweetness, sourness, or spiciness as needed.
  6. Serve immediately or refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
