Ingredients:
- 10 oz tortilla chips
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 oz taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 medium jalapeño, sliced
- ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- ½ cup red onion, diced
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) or prepare your broiler for high heat.
- Cook the Meat: Heat the skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and a splash of water. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
- Layer the Nachos: Spread half of the tortilla chips on a baking sheet. Sprinkle half of the ground beef, followed by half of both cheeses. Add half of the black beans and half of the jalapeño slices. Repeat the layering with the remaining chips and toppings.
- Bake the Nachos: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the nachos from the oven and top with fresh tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, sliced avocado, and dollops of sour cream. Serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing.
