Ingredients:
- 12 oz (340 g) fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1 medium orange, zested and juiced
- 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) water
- 1/2 cup (75 g) chopped celery (optional)
- 1/4 tsp (1 g) ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions:
- Rinse the cranberries under cold water, discarding any that are soft or damaged.
- Zest and juice the orange, setting both aside.
- Combine cranberries, sugar, and water in a medium saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat until the cranberries pop and the mixture thickens (about 10-15 minutes).
- Stir in the orange zest, orange juice, and optional cinnamon.
- Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
- Mix in chopped celery if desired, for added texture.
- Transfer to an airtight container and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
