Ingredients:

  • 12 oz (340 g) fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 medium orange, zested and juiced
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) water
  • 1/2 cup (75 g) chopped celery (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp (1 g) ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the cranberries under cold water, discarding any that are soft or damaged.
  2. Zest and juice the orange, setting both aside.
  3. Combine cranberries, sugar, and water in a medium saucepan.
  4. Cook over medium heat until the cranberries pop and the mixture thickens (about 10-15 minutes).
  5. Stir in the orange zest, orange juice, and optional cinnamon.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
  7. Mix in chopped celery if desired, for added texture.
  8. Transfer to an airtight container and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
