Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, diced
- 1 can (15 oz.) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 oz. elbow macaroni
- 2 cups water
Instructions:
- Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a large pot.
- Add elbow macaroni, cooking until al dente per package instructions.
- Drain and set aside the macaroni.
- In the same pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and sauté until translucent.
- Incorporate minced garlic and diced bell pepper, cooking for 2-3 minutes.
- Add ground beef to the pot, breaking it apart and cooking until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning.
- Season with salt and pepper; bring to a simmer.
- Add the cooked macaroni, stirring to combine well.
- Simmer for an additional 5 minutes to heat through and meld flavors.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot.
