Ingredients:
- 2 large sweet potatoes (about 700g / 1.5 lbs), peeled and cut into ½-inch thick fries
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (5 ml)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder (2.5 ml)
- ½ teaspoon onion powder (2.5 ml)
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (1.25 ml) (optional, for a little kick!)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash, peel and cut the sweet potatoes into even fries. Aim for ½-inch thickness.
- Place the fries in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
- Add the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper to the fries. Toss well to ensure the fries are coated evenly.
- Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (if using). Avoid overcrowding.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then flip the fries and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
