Ingredients:
- ½ cup (100g) Popcorn kernels
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) Vegetable oil (or coconut oil)
- ½ teaspoon (3g) Salt
- 4 tablespoons (57g) Unsalted butter
- ½ cup (50g) Grated Parmesan cheese, finely grated
- 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Fresh chives, finely chopped
- ¼ teaspoon Garlic powder
- ⅛ teaspoon Red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 ounces (57g) Prosciutto, thinly sliced
- Additional Parmesan cheese, for grating (optional)
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add popcorn kernels and salt. Cover and cook, shaking the pot occasionally, until popping slows. Remove from heat and pour into a large bowl. Remove any unpopped kernels.
- Place prosciutto slices in a cold skillet over medium heat. Cook until crispy and golden brown, about 3-5 minutes per side. Remove and place on paper towels to drain. Once cool, crumble into small pieces.
- In a small saucepan (or microwave-safe bowl), melt butter. Stir in Parmesan cheese, parsley, chives, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Pour the Parmesan herb butter over the popcorn. Toss gently but thoroughly to coat all the kernels.
- Sprinkle the crumbled crispy prosciutto over the popcorn. Grate additional Parmesan cheese on top, if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy your movie night snacks!
