Ingredients:

  • 1 cup strong brewed green tea, completely chilled
  • 1 ½ cups frozen sliced peaches
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or low-fat)
  • 1 to 2 Tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  • A small pinch of sea salt
  • 2 high-quality green tea bags or 2 tsp loose leaf
  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions:

  1. Brew the Tea: Bring 1 cup (240 ml) of water to a boil. Pour over the green tea bags or loose leaves. Steep for 3-4 minutes—no longer, or it will become bitter.
  2. Strain and Cool: Remove the tea bags or strain the tea into a separate container. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then transfer to the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes until completely cold.
  3. Load the Blender: Place the completely chilled green tea into the blender jug first. (Liquids always go in before solids to protect the blades.)
  4. Add Remaining Ingredients: Add the frozen peaches, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, lime juice, and the pinch of salt.
  5. Initial Blend: Secure the lid and start blending on a low speed, then gradually increase to high. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and no large chunks of peach remain (usually 60–90 seconds).
  6. Check Consistency: Stop the blender and scrape down the sides if necessary. If it is too thick, add a splash of cold water or milk (1-2 Tbsp/15-30 ml) until the desired consistency is reached.
  7. Taste and Adjust: Taste the smoothie. If the peaches weren't very sweet, add the remaining tablespoon of honey or preferred sweetener.
  8. Serve: Divide immediately into two glasses and serve straight away.
