Ingredients:
- 1 large ripe banana, peeled (approx. 120g / 4 oz)
- 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter (approx. 32g / 1.1 oz)
- 1 cup milk (240ml / 8 fl oz) - dairy or non-dairy (almond, soy, oat)
- ½ cup ice cubes (approx. 60g / 2 oz) – adjust to desired thickness
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (approx. 20g / 0.7 oz) - adjust to taste, or omit for less sweetness
- Optional: ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Optional: 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds for added nutrition
- Optional: Whipped cream and a drizzle of peanut butter or chocolate syrup, for topping
Instructions:
- Peel the banana and measure out the peanut butter, milk, ice cubes, and honey (or maple syrup).
- Add the banana, peanut butter, milk, ice cubes, honey (or maple syrup), cinnamon (if using), and chia/flax seeds (if using) to the blender.
- Blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy. Add more milk if the shake is too thick; add more ice if it's too thin.
- Taste the shake and adjust sweetness by adding more honey or maple syrup, if desired.
- Pour the shake into a tall glass. Top with whipped cream and a drizzle of peanut butter or chocolate syrup (if desired). Serve immediately.
