Ingredients:

  • 1 large ripe banana, peeled (approx. 120g / 4 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter (approx. 32g / 1.1 oz)
  • 1 cup milk (240ml / 8 fl oz) - dairy or non-dairy (almond, soy, oat)
  • ½ cup ice cubes (approx. 60g / 2 oz) – adjust to desired thickness
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (approx. 20g / 0.7 oz) - adjust to taste, or omit for less sweetness
  • Optional: ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds for added nutrition
  • Optional: Whipped cream and a drizzle of peanut butter or chocolate syrup, for topping

Instructions:

  1. Peel the banana and measure out the peanut butter, milk, ice cubes, and honey (or maple syrup).
  2. Add the banana, peanut butter, milk, ice cubes, honey (or maple syrup), cinnamon (if using), and chia/flax seeds (if using) to the blender.
  3. Blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy. Add more milk if the shake is too thick; add more ice if it's too thin.
  4. Taste the shake and adjust sweetness by adding more honey or maple syrup, if desired.
  5. Pour the shake into a tall glass. Top with whipped cream and a drizzle of peanut butter or chocolate syrup (if desired). Serve immediately.
